Bruce Thomas Holland was born on July 25, 1950, at the Naval Hospital in Pensacola, Florida, to David Bruce and Dorothy Beth (Thomas) Holland. He departed this life on September 12, 2026, at his home in Norwood, Missouri.
Bruce graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School in Overland Park, Kansas, and later attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. On July 4, 1981, Bruce married the love of his life, Erica Faith Fredrickson, in Shawnee, Kansas.
Some of Bruce’s interests included a good hunting expedition, working in his garden, raising livestock and poultry, and do-it-yourself projects. As a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan, Bruce would often watch their games so he could cheer on his favorite team to victory! When the Chiefs weren’t playing, Bruce could be seen watching one of his favorite movies.
Bruce loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He often found peace, and felt closest to his Savior, when studying the bible at home.
Preceding him in death are his parents; daughter, Andrea Marie Holland; son, Joseph Daniel Holland; and brother, Davy Holland.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 45 years, Erica Faith Holland, of Norwood, Missouri; sons, David Charles Holland and wife, Shawna, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Steven Michael Holland, of Overland Park, Kansas; granddaughter, Lyla Marie Holland, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister, Lori Walters and her husband, Terry, of Shawnee, Kansas; other loving family and friends.
