Bruce Wayne Yocum, 69 years, 8 months, 16 days old, passed away on November 29, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri.
On March 13, 1955, Bruce was born in Omaha, Nebraska, to John and Mary Yocum (Scott). He was one of five children.
Bruce preferred the rural lifestyle even though he would let his son Drag him through different cities at the drop of a hat, and have the time of his life while welcoming new experiences. When he would head to the creek, he would load up his side-by-side with smiles, jokes, food and drinks and be prepared for whatever the day would bring. He enjoyed celebrating family, friends, old dogs, his children, and grand children every chance he was given. There wasn’t a chance Bruce would let a pretty girl walk by without letting her know he was in the room, which would often get him in trouble. Bruce Yocum will be missed greatly by those who knew him.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Steve and Jimmy.
Bruce is survived by his children, Mark Yocum and Shannon Yocum; step children, Logan, Monica, and Megan; grandchildren, Taylor, Ryker, Tyler, Jazlyn, Owin, Kellie, Lexie, Mercedes, Draelynn, Chevy, Hunter, Sophia, and Hailey; great granddaughter, Hunter Rose Lyman; sister Charolette Webster, and brother, Jerry Yocum and other extended relatives and friends.
Cremation services for Bruce are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava, Missouri per his wishes.
