Linda Susan Prock

Linda Susan Ritter Prock was born in Douglas County, Missouri, on June 7, 1945, to Edgar Alva Ritter and Edith Lorene (Kunze) Ritter, the third of seven children. She passed away November 25, 2024. Linda graduated from Ava High School, and on March 19, 1966, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Garman Prock at Black Oak Flats Church which added two children to her family.

Linda spent her whole life in the Douglas County / Ava/ Wasola area. She has been a member of Oak Grove Church in Wasola for decades, and she considered all there her special church family. She worked for many years at Copeland and retired from there to spend her time with her large family and tending her flowers. She had a large collection of green glass items that the family was always adding to for her.

 

Surviving Linda is her husband, Kenneth of the home; two sons, Kimberland & Laura Ritter of Seymour, and Dennis Prock of Republic; a step son, Randall & Vikki Prock of  Eaglerock, Missouri, and a step daughter, Andela Wilson of Springfield. Two brothers also survive her, Charles (Gene) Ritter of Ava, and J.C. Ritter of Pennsylvania;  eight grandchildren: Mason Ritter, Brayden Ritter, Naithan Ritter, Morgan Ritter, Sarah and John Donley, Rebecca Prock, Ethan & Lynzi Prock; eleven step grandchildren: Daniel Goetz, Amanda Wilson, Bonnie and Jon Shikles, Silas Hoffer, Anthony and Kristen Carlisle, Jeff and Carly Creighton, Bo and Katie Prock, RaKayla Phillips, Brianne and Corey Ennes, Brady Prock, Nicole and Nick Moore, and Randi Prock; ten great grandchildren: Diana Ritter, Liam Ritter, Henry Ritter, Veronica Ritter, Addie Donley, Klarissa Ritter, Chloe Watkins,Teanin Prock, Dustie Prock, Saphera Prock, and Atreya Prock ; eighteen step great grandchildren: Bristol, Emma, Ryan, Ethan, Wyatt, Savannah, Chloe, Lorraine, Olivia, Ella, Avery, Isaac, Claire, Jayden, Charlie; and numerous other close family and friends.

 

Those passing before Linda were her parents; sisters, Ella Marie King and Stella Ann Upshaw; brothers Edgar (Monroe) Ritter and Richardson (Hugh) Ritter; grandson, Ryan Goetz; and great grandchildren, Jacobie Goetz and twins, Madeline and Caedi Prock. 

 

Funeral services for Linda will be Monday, December 2, 2024, 10:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri with burial following in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Wasola, Missouri.  Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 1st from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Roberts. Family request memorials to Trivitt Missionary Society Oak Grove Church.
