Charleen Ruth Sloan, 80 of Cabool, MO passed away on Jan. 3, 2023 at the Autumn Oaks Care Center in Mtn. Grove. She was born on May 6, 1942 in Dixon, CA the daughter of Richard and Laura (Williams) Vaughn.
She was united in marriage to Murl Gene Sloan on Feb. 22, 1964 and to this union three sons were born; Richard Arthur, Ronald Lynn and Donald Gene. She worked for a number of years as a nurses aide at the local nursing homes, but mostly was a stay at home mom. She enjoyed looking after her family, tending to her flower beds and crocheting.
Charleen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene and her son, Richard. She is survived by her sons, Ronald Sloan and wife, Sheila and Donald Sloan and wife, Bobbie; grandchildren, Samantha Sloan, Justin McCormick, Chance Sloan, Dewayne Wilson, Brandy Williams, Matt Wilson, Chelsey Paige and Nichole Faith McCullough and 13 great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
