Charles “Chuck” Oliver Evans,71, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, MO. Chuck was a pastor, loving father, fun grandfather, and so much more! He ran his race and finished his course.
Chuck was born on July 14, 1950, to John and Alice (Kilmer) Evans. He graduated high school in Sharon Springs, Kansas, and joined the Army on June 11, 1970. He was honorably discharged on December 17, 1974, and on May 27, 1984, Chuck became an ordained pastor. He continued his education and became a graduate of Theology on May 19th, 1977, and he continued to achieve his Master’s degree in theology.
Chuck is survived by one daughter, MeLissa King; three sons, Aaron Evans, Timothy Evans, and Benjamin Evans; two sisters, Colleen Monaghan and Cindy McGill; two brothers, Clint Evans and Chris Evans; thirteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, John and Alice Evans; two brothers, Carl Evans and Curtis Evans; and one grandson, Tyson Hambleton.
Chuck had the heart of a servant and a leader. He was passionate about ministry and serving the Father with his life, and he ran his race courageously! He loved to fish and teach others how to and loved animals, especially his dog, Pringle.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the celebration of life service for Chuck on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Independent Baptist Church in Howard, Kansas at 3:00 p.m. Cremation arrangements were made under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Birch Tree. A memorial fund has been set up on gofundme.
