Cleo Kathy Anderson, 67 years, passed away on March 16, 2023 at Cox South Medical Center with her family by her side.
Cleo Kathy was born October 7, 1955 in Mansfield, Missouri to Richard Leon and Katy Inez (Merritt) Gray.
She grew up in Douglas County attended school in Ava and Mansfield and later she graduated from Warrensburg High School. She became a Flight Attendant for Frontier and American Airlines and served a number of years. She also worked as a Paralegal in Murfreesboro, TN. She later got her training and degree as a Medical Coder with Cox Medical in Springfield. She retained this position for several years at various healthcare companies.
Cleo Kathy enjoyed cooking, traveling, baking and she loved to be the hostess. She also delighted in watching movies. She was a Christian and member of Rose of Sharon Church in Kansas City, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her son’s father, Michael Anderson.
Cleo Kathy is survived by her parents, Katy & Robert Mock and Richard & Jullie Gray; her son, Drew Anderson; five brothers and their spouses, Rick & Renee Gray of Missouri, Randy & Joyce Gray of Missouri, Ronnie & Deborah Gray of Alabama, Richard & Leesa Gray of Indiana and Reggie Gray of Texas; nieces; nephews; extended family and numerous friends.
Funeral services for Cleo Kathy will be Monday, March 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava, MO with burial following in the Dyer Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to service time. Officiating will be Rev. Daryl Burch.
