Cynthia Joy Fleming

Cynthia Joy Fleming, 74 years, 5 months, and 6 days old, passed away on September 11, 2024, at Citizen Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri, with her family by her side.

Cindy was born April 5, 1950, in Fairbanks, Alaska, to Cecil Henry and Elizabeth “Betty” (Woods) Allen. 

 

Cindy lived in various places in the world. Her father served in the U.S. Army and the Air Force, so her family moved wherever he was stationed. 

 

On April 11, 1970, Cindy and Fred Fleming were united in marriage in Lamar, Missouri, and together were blessed with two sons, Joseph Aaron and Adrian Grant.   

 

She worked as a clerk for several years in the clothing industry. She also worked at Michael’s in Little Rock, Arkansas, as their events coordinator. In addition, she served as a teacher/office worker in Grace Baptist Christian School in Farmington, New Mexico. 

 

Cindy was a Christian and member of the Grace Fellowship Church in Bolivar, Missouri.  Cindy enjoyed artwork, crafts, sewing, and loved singing. She was always very active until her health prevented. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Joseph Aaron; three brothers, Cecil, Richard, and Sidney Allen. 

 

Cindy is survived by her husband, Fred; son, Adrian Grant Fleming; her brothers and their families, David Allen, Wade Allen, and Ben Allen; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. 

          

Funeral services for Cindy will be Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri, with burial following in the Ava Cemetery.  Visitation will be prior to the service at 1:00 P.M.  Officiating will be nephew, Pastor Keith Allen. In lieu of flowers,donations may be made to a charity of choice.
