Norman Dale Roy, 83 years, 3 months, and 10 days old, passed away peacefully to Heaven on August 18, 2022 at Heart of the Ozarks in Ava.
Dale was born May 8, 1939 in Mansfield, MO to Claude and Hazel (Deatherage) Roy.
On September 16, 1960, Dale and Olive Hall were united in marriage at Ava, MO and they were blessed with four children. He was saved in 1963 and accepted the call to preach in 1964. He worked as a farmer and pastored for many years. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Dale enjoyed gardening, his flowers, chickens and taking care of his farm. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a hard worker and worked hard to provide for his family. He never met a stranger and looked for the good in all people. His sense of humor kept everyone laughing.
On January 26, 2006 Dale and Janice Long were united in marriage at Hartville, MO.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janice and his grandson, Raymond Roy.
He is survived by his four children; Dalene Robertson, Michael Roy & Emily, Deborah & Mark Hatfield, and Mark & Sherri Roy; 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, three sisters; Claudene Last, Betty Ludwig, and Lula Bell & John Todd, three brothers; Carl Roy, Ronnie & Beverly Roy, Danny & Dorothy Roy, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services for Dale will be Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Clinkingbeard Chapel in Ava, MO with burial following in the Dyer Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 22nd from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Clinkingbeards. Officiating will be Rev. Ronnie Roy.
