A Celebration of Life service for Donnie Lee Stokes, 70, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2025 at First Freewill Baptist Church.
Mr. Stokes passed away at 10:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2024, at his home.
He was born February 16, 1954, in Jackson, Tennessee, to John David Stokes and Mary Louise Jordan Stokes. Mr. Stokes was a veteran, having served with the United States Army in Vietnam era. He enjoyed woodworking, small engine repair and fishing. He was a jack of all trades, a walking encyclopedia and an excellent cook. Donnie loved his work as a truck driver. Mr. Stokes surrendered his life to the Lord and was baptized within the last six months.
He is survived by his wife, Josefine Rodriguez; six children, Jay Stokes and wife, Danyell, Tony Stokes, Alex Stokes and wife, Debra, Donnie Stokes, Jr. and wife, Michelle, Nick Rodriguez and Nicole Rodriguez; five bonus children, Joe, Christina, Mike and Maggie Rodriguez and Daniel Regino; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents, three brothers, Paul David Stokes, his twin, Danny Lee Stokes, Sr. and James Stokes, and four sisters, Betty, Judy, Joann and Shirley, preceded him in death.
