Funeral Services for Earby Monroe Hardin, Age 84 of Salem, Arkansas will be held on Saturday, July 25th, 2026 at The Doty Memorial Chapel, Salem, Arkansas, beginning at 10:00 AM. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 9:00 AM. Burial will be in The Camp Cemetery, Camp, Arkansas.
Earby Monroe Hardin, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026, in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 84. Born on September 28, 1941, in Black Oak, Arkansas, Earby was the son of Benton and Lila Mae Hardin.
From his earliest days, Earby felt a special connection to the land and the rhythms of rural life. He found profound joy in farming, spending countless hours outside in the fields. His love for the outdoors extended beyond farming; as he also enjoyed fishing.
Family was at the heart of everything Earby did, and he considered them his proudest accomplishment. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Locka Ann Hardin, cherishing their partnership through all of life’s seasons. Together, they built a legacy that endures in the family they nurtured.
Earby is survived by his son, Earby “Monty” Hardin, II of Springfield, Missouri; his daughters, Shelley (Gary Marvin) Crawford of Elizabeth, Arkansas and Jonna (Gary Dean) Camp of Viola, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Kristen Trivitt, Gary Randall Crawford, Brittany Camp, and Jordan Camp; great-grandchildren, Adeline Trivitt and Mallie Camp; his brothers, David Hardin, Thomas Hardin, Jerry Hardin, and Marvin Hardin, and his sister, Joyce Gay.
Earby was preceded in death by his wife, Locka Ann Hardin; parents, Benton and Lila Mae Hardin and brothers, James Lee Hardin and Harold Hardin.
Earby’s legacy is marked by his unwavering commitment to those he loved, the land he tended, and the simple joys he cherished. Those who knew him will remember his quiet strength and his dedication to his family.
