Elenora “Punky” Marie Blunkall, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away on August 22, 2024, at the age of 72, in Rocky Mount, Virginia.
She was born on June 7, 1952, Punky spent her life dedicated to her family and community. She worked in retail for most of her life, touching the lives of many with her kindness and warm smile.
Punky is preceded in death by sisters, Helen, Norma Lee, Jean, Patty, and Virginia; and one brother Bartley.
She is survived by her fiancé, David Roberts; children, Kelly Lynn Carr and Jeri Gail Carr; grandchildren, Alyssa Carr and Russell Counts; and great-grandchild, Kojo Carr. She is also survived by her sisters, Charlotte Orchard, Bertie Prewett, and Rosie Bowen, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives who loved her dearly.
Punky’s family was her greatest joy, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will live on through the countless lives she touched.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Munsell Cemetery, Eminence, Missouri. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30-1:45 p.m. at Yarber Mortuary, Eminence. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
