Evelyn Anne Egan, 79 years, 11 months, and 26 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on February 5, 2025. Her husband, Paul, and family were by her side.
On February 10, 1945, Evelyn was born in San Francisco, California, to John William and Pearl Anna (Morgan) Sharpe.
Evelyn and Paul Egan were united in marriage April 7, 1978, in Bellflower, California.
Evelyn received her Associate of Arts Degree in Riverside, California. She began her teaching career in Lake Elsinore, California. Evelyn and Paul moved to the Ava community to fully retire in 2007.
She enjoyed being a member of the Ava VFW Women’s Auxillary. She and her friends loved running the Bingo concessions. Evelyn was also a member of the Catholic Church.
Her joy was her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Billy Maurice Brooks.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Paul; daughter, Cynthia Brooks-Delgado and husband, Jose; her brothers, John William Sharpe, Jr., and Richard Sharpe; her sisters, Pam Talbot, Teresa Musselman, and Florence Lawson; step brother, Tom Stephens; many nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; extended relatives and friends.
Funeral mass service for Evelyn will be Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Old Hwy. 5 North, Ava, Missouri. Officiating will be Father Charles Peirano. Family requests donations in her memory to the Ava VFW Auxillary or the St. Leo’s Catholic Church.
