Jullie Kay Gray

Jullie Kay Gray, 66 years, 5 months, and 22 days old passed away on January 31, 2025, at her home. 

On August 9, 1958, Jullie was born in Douglas County, Missouri to George Calvin and Lily May (Peak) Merriett.

Jullie was a Christian and a member of the New Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Ava Missouri.   

She enjoyed reading the Bible, singing hymns and spending time with family and friends.  She also liked fishing, playing Skipbo and cards.

Jullie was preceded in death by her parents and son, DJ Wright.

Jullie is survived by her children, Joseph and DiAnne Merriett, Jessica and Timothy Blackwell, and James and Kacee Wright; grandchildren, Brianna Plummer, Katie Melton, Jordan Merriett, Madalyn Barnes, Tobi Merriett, Kasey Merriett, Brodie Merriett, Makayla Byerley, Tristan Corcoran, Mallory Barnes, Miley Ludwig, Korbyn Adamson, Jaxson Wright, Cameron Wright, Phyona Wright, Raymond Blackwell, Benjamin Blackwell, Josiah Merriett, Jacob Wright, Dradin Allen, Ethan Bujarski, Colin McNeil, Jaylynn Wright, Samantha Wright, and JayLynne Rowe; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Calvin and Sandra Merriett, Cavin and Lajeana Merriett, Hobert and Terrie Merriett, Hubert and Casey Merriett; and many other relatives and friends.         

Funeral services for Jullie will be Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri with burial to follow in the Ava Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 PM to service time. Officiating will be Pastor Bion Irwin.  Memorials may be made to the Funeral Home to help with expenses.
