Faye McVay

Audrey Faye McVay, 95 years, 10 months, and 8 days old, entered Heaven on March 4, 2025, at her home with family by her side.

On April 27, 1929, Faye was born in Mansfield, Missouri, to George and Neoska “Marie” (Harris) Harvey.

Faye and Junior McVay were united in marriage on July 27, 1946, in Couer D’Alene, Idaho. Together they had three daughters, Sherry, Kathy, and Judy.

Faye was a faithful Christian and member of Highway Church of the Nazarene in Ava, Missouri. She taught Sunday School for many years. Together with Junior, they coached Bible quizzing teams and worked as the church’s custodians for several years.  Faye enjoyed fixing Sunday dinners for her family and going to her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s activities and events.

Faye adored her family. She prayed for them daily and was known as a prayer warrior for many. She will be remembered for her faith, strength, kindness, and her gracious love.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Junior; eleven brothers and sisters. 

She is survived by her daughters, Sherry and Claude Robertson of Ava, Kathy and Randy Sell of Ozark, and Judy and Fred Keith of Mansfield; grandchildren, Angela Robertson of Branson, Rachel and Cody Prock of Ava, Carrie and Andy Beasley of Cave Springs, Arkansas, Todd and Carissa Sell of Nixa, Chad Keith of Mansfield, Adam and Nikki Keith of Mansfield; great grandchildren, Savannah and Brandon Hammond, Collin Jenkins, Caden and Connor Prock, Carter, Brayden, and Eli Beasely, Kinsley Sell, Mya, Eden, Jack, and Miles Keith; a brother, Clifton and Amy Harvey of Sparks, Nevada; sister in law, Acenath Morgan of Woodland Park, Washington; two very dear friends, Midge Evans and Lisa Ellison whose daily phone calls meant the world to her.         

Funeral services for Faye will be Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Dyer cemetery.  Officiating will be Adam Keith and Chaplain, Bill Longanecker. Memorials may be made to Gideons International or Everhome Hospice, 100 W. Commercial St., Mansfield, MO 65704.
