Freddie Joe Rees was born in Thayer, Missouri, the only child of Clifford Arthur and Juanita (Rumsey) Rees. He departed this life at his home in Hardy, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family at the age of 82.
Fred was a proud American and served with the United States Air Force. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hardy and an avid and exceptional woodworker.
Survivors include his daughter, Belinda Kalas and her husband, Fred of Cleveland, Texas; three sons: Freddie Joe Rees II, Matt Rees and his wife, Carrie, and Eric Rees and his wife, Tonya, all of Hardy; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several other relatives and many friends.
Freddie Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Pat (Wiles) Rees, and his parents.
The public funeral service will be at Hardy First Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 3 p.m. with Bucky Rees officiating. Family will receive friends at the church from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow in the Hardy City Cemetery. Pallbearers include Tyler Rees, William Rees, Jeff Powell, Kevin Holloway, Ernie Rose, and Jason DeBoser.
Arrangements are under the direction of Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
