Freddie Lee Smith age 72 of Alton, MO was born November 21, 1951 in Oregon County MO and departed this earth on July 9, 2024 at Mercy Hospital Springfield MO.
He is survived by wife of 55 years Sharon Plough Smith, 3 sons Eric and wife Melissa, David Smith, Terry and wife Ila, 1 daughter Sherry Simmons and husband Wayne.11 grand kids, Gregory(Hannah), Jacob(Harlee), Katie(Kadon), Preston, Bryce, Keela, Skye(Jake), Shari(Jacob), Emery(Liz), Cory(Evette), Savannah(David), 10 great grand kids, Alydiah, Alexander, Waylon, LouElla, Brutus, Jackson, Noah, Addison, Drake, and Cheyenne. Brother Roger(Terry), sister Vera Mae, sister Linda(Michael), sister Barb(Jerry), sister Judy(Danny) and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Shelby and Helen Sisco Smith, father in law Elmer Plough and mother in law Irene Plough one grandson Colten Levi Smith, granddaughter Mariah Shelby Smith, and great grandson Hunter Parkridge.
Freddie served in the United States Army 101st Airborne during the Vietnam War. Freddie liked to hunt, fish and golf. He loved his family, he will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Services will be at 11:00 am Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Bro. Bob Wiggs officiating, burial in the Bailey Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00am until service time.
