Geraldine Annabelle Swartz, 91 passed away on June 27, 2023 at the Kabul Nursing Home in Cabool, Mo. Gerry was born to George and Ethel Hardt on September 17, 1931 in Concord, Michigan.
Gerry met and married Loren Swartz July 26, 1950. They worked a farm for some years in Michigan and had three children together. Gerry came to Missouri with her family in 1957 where they bought a farm north of Buffalo, Mo. Gerry was a hard worker. She worked alongside her husband caring for many farm duties, even helping in the hayfield.
Gerry always did what was needed to help the family make ends meet. She worked as a waitress near Urbana, Mo and also as a grocery clerk in Buffalo. In 1981 Gerry and her husband left Buffalo and moved to the Pacific Northwest where they settled in Kalama, Washington. They lived there until 2004 when they came back to Missouri and decided to live here in Cabool near their grandson.
Gerry loved her friends and would often get together for a game of cards or a meal. She had many friends and family who loved her. She also loved to sew and crochet.
Gerry had strong faith and loved her God, Jehovah and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Cabool.
Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, Loren and daughter, Marsha Kay. She is survived by her son, Robert and wife Teresa; a daughter, Patricia Ann of Springfield, Mo; two brothers, Kieth Hardt in North Carolina and Glyndon Hardt of Jackson Michigan. Gerry loved all seven of her grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Gerry will be remembered with love by all her family and friends.
