The Royals fell to the Twins for the second straight day. Kansas City lost to Minnesota 9-3 at Target Field. Bobby Witt Jr. hit his 13th home run and totaled two RBI in the losing effort. Starting pitcher Zack Greinke fell to 1-and-9 after allowing six earned runs through five-and-a-third innings. The 39-year old starter left in the sixth with shoulder discomfort.
The Royals are sitting at the bottom of the AL Central at 25-and-61. They will send right-hander Alec Marsh to the hill for the series finale against Minnesota tonight.
