Gloria Ann Nunn, 74 years, 7 months, 28 days old, passed away on September 14, 2023 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

Gloria was born January 16, 1949 in Frankfurt, Germany to Irvin “Jake” and Ingaborg “Jackie” (Podratz) Jacobs.

Gloria’s father served as a Master Sergeant in the Army. After traveling to many places around the world, the family came to the United States when she was a young girl, settling in Fort Campbell, KY.

Gloria was a woman of Christian Faith. During her children’s most impressionable ages she ensured they grew up in church to nurture and develop their personal relationships with God.

Gloria enjoyed the simple things in life; a morning cup of coffee and easy conversation, the changing seasons, short drives, and cooking delicious meals for her family. She loved and cared for Marley and Oscar, her feline companions, but above all, she loved the Lord, her Family and friends.

She was known for her bright smile, warm heart, a tireless nurturing soul. Gloria selflessly gave of her time, resources; anything to anyone in need without pause, regardless of her own situation.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Loretta; and son-in-law, Melvin Stillwell.

Gloria is survived by six children, Timothy Nunn, Randy and Tonia Nunn, Christy Stillwell, Samantha and Bobby Crockett, Ashley Stout and Robert Hager, and Kimberly and Randy Freeman; four grandchildren, Taylor, Ryan, TJ, and Levi; five great-grandchildren, Josie, Abel, Genesis, Delilah, and Lainey; three sisters, Irene, Pat, and Penny; one brother, Robert; and many other relatives and friends, all who will miss her very much.

Exodus 2: 5-10: tells the story of Jochabed, the Mother of Moses and her sacrifice through Faith for her child. This is how our mother lived, for her children. Godly mothers can overcome all adversity; Gloria raised her children to rise above adversity, facing life’s challenges as she did, turning her struggles into strength. Her children and grandchildren will share these lessons for generations to come.

Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri. The family will host a private gathering at a later date. Online condolences may be made to www.clinkingbeardfuneralhome.com.
