Howard Vanderpool, 95 years, 9 months, and 2 days old, passed away on, November 13, 2022 at his home in Mansfield with is loving family by his side.
Howard was born February 11, 1927 in Salt Lake City, UT to Leonard and Lenore (Evans) Vanderpool.
Howard was a WWII veteran and served honorably in the U.S. Navy.
Howard and Mary were united in marriage on May 2, 1948 in Las Vegas, NV and to this union three children were born.
Howard received his Bachelor of Arts in Bible at Arizona Bible College. He was a Pastor for eighteen years with Village Missions. He started a Bible Missionary and Work Training Center in Merritt Island, FL. Howard also started a missionary youth training boot camp in Moshi, Tanzania. Howard and Mary built two life size replicas of Old Testament Tabernacle. He also received an honorary doctorate in Bible from the Indonesian Seminary.
Howard enjoyed playing and writing music. He loved singing with his family and playing the guitar. He loved studying and reading the Bible. His greatest joy in life was his family.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, and one sister.
Howard is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Barbara and Jim Paisley and Kathy Vanderpool; son, Daniel Vanderpool and wife, Martha; six grandchildren, Ryan Paisley, Tara Paisley Young, Amy Mucklestone, David, Sam and Joy Vanderpool; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild with one more on the way; brother, Bob Vanderpool, Henderson, NV; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Howard will be Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri. Burial will be in the Ava Cemetery with full military honors. Officiating will be Dan Vanderpool. Memorials may be made to Motorcycle Sunday School Mission.
