Robert Lee Jones, 91 years, 9 months, 15 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on November 9, 2022 at his daughter’s home in Springhill, Louisiana.
Robert was born January 22, 1931 in Isabella, Missouri to Ervin and Fannie (Hillhouse) Jones.
Robert was a veteran having served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953 and served during the Korean War.
On December 29, 1972, Robert and Edna Pellham were united in marriage in Wasola, Missouri.
He retired from the Missouri State Highway Department at Wasola as a Shed Foreman for many years. He was a Christian and a member of the Longrun General Baptist Church. While in Ava he attended the Ava General Baptist Church. Robert loved everything to do with fishing! He also enjoyed music, especially country and bluegrass. Robert loved serving people! He will be missed in the community and his neighborhood.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edna in 2006; one brother, James Jones; four sisters, Madge, Mary, Hazel and Iva.
Robert is survived by his daughter and husband, Shelia & Bobby Parsons of Springhill, Louisiana; granddaughters, Jeana Rushing and Lisa Maraspini; three great grandsons, Caleb, Lucas and Joshua; his sister, Pat Smith; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Robert will be Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Longrun Cemetery, Longrun, MO in Ozark County. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 16th from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn.
