Jamie Jo (Nelson) Pollard left this life on January 25, 2025, in Salem, Arkansas. Jamie was born on April 23, 1976, to James “Jay” Walter Nelson and Becky Lou (Wilson) Nelson in Memphis, Tennessee.
Jamie Jo, JJ, Aunt J & Mom — some of the many names she proudly held, especially the last two. She had the voice of an angel and a smile that would light up the room. JJ loved her family, fiercely. Her favorite place to be was always, anywhere the rest of us were. She enjoyed reading, watching the Chiefs, being at the lake, doing crafts & activities with her nieces and nephews, her cats and most of all, anything and everything that involved Caleb. She loved being his mother more than anything in this world and couldn’t brag enough on the man he is becoming. He was her very best friend and she was his. A few years ago, Zack came into her life. He brought her so much joy and happiness in the time they shared together. Their relationship was truly filled with love, and he held a special place in JJ’s heart. When Caleb left for college, his presence ensured she was not alone in this new chapter of life. JJ will be missed in so many peoples’ lives. She had a heart of gold and infectious laugh that she will forever be remembered by. We love you, forever.
Jamie leaves to mourn her passing son, Caleb Julian Pollard of Salem, Arkansas; parents James “Jay” W. and Becky Nelson of Salem, Arkansas; brothers, Walter Nelson of Salem, Arkansas and Josh Nelson (Cathryn) of Salem, Arkansas; sister Jordan Willett of Salem, Arkansas; grandparents Jerry and Judy Wilson of Whiteville, Tennessee; boyfriend Zack Kelley of Highland, Arkansas as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
