Jeffrey Dale Fleetwood, 65 years, 1 month, and 3 days old, passed away on January 19, 2025, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, with his family by his side.
Jeff was born December 16, 1959, in Mansfield, Missouri, to Ronald Doyn and Phyllis (Thomas) Fleetwood.
He was in the class of 1978 of Ava High School.
Jeff worked at Ron’s Carpets with his mom and dad for many years. He was a hard worker, whatever the task at hand Jeff did the job. He had currently been working at Copeland in Ava as a Gauge Operator. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, swimming, sitting in the hot tub, driving the dirt roads, and having a good time with his friends. Also, at one time he was a volunteer firefighter in Ava.
As a kid, Jeff attended church with his family at the Ava General Baptist Church. His joy was his children and especially his grand and great grandkids. They meant the world to him.
Jeff had a big heart, and if anyone had a need he was there. He was always only one call away.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Ron and Phyllis.
He is survived by his five children, Kevin & Ashley Fleetwood, Jessica & Damien Hutson, Jessica Phillips and Dustin Shannon, Sarah & Josh Lane, and Eve Fleetwood; Cody Heriford, whom he loved like a son; fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers, Ron Fleetwood, Jr. and wife, Eva, Joey and Jarrod Fleetwood; his sister, Jalanna Cobb; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Jeff will be Friday, January 24, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri, with burial following in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday prior to the service at 1:00 P.M.
Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn. Family requests memorials to the Ronald McDonald House, Springfield, MO.
