Funeral Services for Jewel Marie Miller, Age 81 of Ava, Missouri will be held on Friday, August 21st, 2026 at The Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Missouri, beginning at 2:00 PM. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in The Girdner Cemetery, Ava, Missouri. Memorial donations may also be made to The Girdner Cemetery, Ava, Missouri.
Jewel Marie Miller, 81 years and 28 days old, passed away on August 12, 2026, in Gravette, Arkansas with her husband by her side.
Jewel was born July 15, 1945, in Douglas County, Missouri to John and Luevada (Manning) McBride.
She was a Certified Nurses Assistant for years. While living in California she worked at the Dock at the King Island Resort.
She was a devoted Christian.
Her favorite pastime was being with her husband while saving animals especially little kittens.
On Feburary 23, 1985, Jewel and Archie James Miller were united in marriage in Reno, Nevada. They were able to spend 41 wonderful years of marriage together.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Lynn Walker-Miller in 1989.
Jewel is survived by her husband, Archie; nieces, Fay Tamez, Leslie Miller, Maedonna Alcorn, Louanna Adams; nephews, John Gunter and Warren Gunter; and other extended family and friends.
