Joanne Carol Philipp, 75, of Willow Springs, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. She was born July 10, 1946, in Pinconning, Michigan, the daughter of Warren and Lucille (Foor) Palmer. Joanne was united in marriage on September 10, 1966, to Dale Philipp, and to this union, four children were born.
She is survived by her husband Dale; her children, Melissa Cole, Sara Pettyjohn (Standon), and Rebecca Shields (Matthew); grandchildren, Joshua and Kolby Queen, Elizabeth and Mason Philipp, Layne Pettyjohn, Jacob Maloney, Chayne and Penny Shields, and expecting the first great-granddaughter, Bailee Queen. She is also survived by her siblings, Sharon Pappenheimer, Connie Frank (Bill), and Russell Palmer (Connie).
Joanne was preceded in death by her son, Jason Philipp; both parents and in-laws; two sisters, Lorraine Bess and Penny Palmer.
Joanne loved her family very much and took great pride in her little farm with her six horses. She loved going to auctions and met a lot of friends there. In earlier years, she worked at Willow Care Nursing Home and Mountain View Fab and during that time made a lot of friends. Joanne never met a stranger and was loved by everyone, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2022, at Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs, Missouri, with Pastor Wade Mattsfield officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2022, also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mackey Cemetery, Pomona, Missouri.
