Karen Sue Fears, age 76, passed away on July 8, 2022, at her home in Winona, Missouri. She was born to W. E. Sr. and Alma Lee (Jones) Johnston on June 26, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Fears; her parents, W. E. and Alma Johnston; two brothers, Junior and Dennis Johnston; one brother-in-law, Larry Mayberry; two sisters-in-law, Georgia Mayberry and Diane Johnston; and a great-grandson.
Karen is survived by two sons, Rodney Fears and wife, Katrina of Winona, MO and Ronald Fears and wife, Brenda of Fordyce, AR; two daughters, Cindy Ray and husband, Arlin, and Donna Fears all of Winona; one brother-in-law, Oscar Fears and wife, Connie of Winona; two sisters-in-law, Fern Dixon and Dena Johnston both of Winona; eight grandchildren, Brett, Jessica, Candance, Joshua, Tiffany, Brittney, Evan, and Abigail; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She worked at Angelica Uniform Factory as a sewing machine operator but was more of a homemaker, which was her favorite job. Karen loved doing jigsaw puzzles as well as crossword puzzles. Her favorite activities were spending time with her good friend, Martha, and her grandchildren.
Karen was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
