Joyce K. “Thompson” Lynn was born July 27, 1954 to Cyrus Noel Thompson and Minerva Gertrude “Miller” Thompson, and passed away October 31, 2022 at her home in Salem, Missouri.
She was married September 21, 1972 to Alvin D. Lambe. To this union one son was born, Ricky D. Lambe in January of 1973. On November 7, 1975 she married Walter Jerry Reinmuth. On November 30, 2012 she married James E. Lynn in Palmer, Alaska.
She is survived by one son, Ricky Lambe; one granddaughter, Alexandria Nickole Lambe and fiancé, Tyler Hale; two great grandsons, Thomas Jensen and Trace Jared Hale of West Plains, Missouri; two sisters, Connie and husband Fred Jones, West Plains, Missouri and Rhonda Mowery and husband Ben, West Plains, Missouri; three brothers, James Thompson and wife Ella, West Plains, Missouri, Bobby Thompson and wife Neta, Brandsville, Missouri, and Tony Thompson, West Plains, Missouri, and a host of other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, Otto and Susie Ann Thompson and Hobert and Gertrude Judd Miller; her parents, Cyrus Thompson and Minerva “Miller” Thompson, and one brother, Donny Thompson.
Joyce was baptized at the age of 12 years old in Bethany Baptist Church at Marshall, Missouri. She graduated from Licensed Practical Nursing School of West Plains, Missouri in 1980. Joyce worked for twenty years in private sectors of West Plains, then ten years with the Veterans Administration (VA). She transferred to Wasilla, Alaska to make a thirty-five year career where she retired.
Joyce was an avid outdoors lover. She loved to camp, fish and go horse back riding. She was a model for Circle C Western Store. She loved playing softball and volleyball, and was a baby chicken lover.
Visitation services will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, Missouri, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services for Joyce K. “Thompson” Lynn will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, Missouri.
Burial will be in Redburn Cemetery, Oregon County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains, Missouri.
