Kenneth Bowers

Kenneth W. Bowers, son of the late Earl Bowers and Ruth (Denney) Fewin, was born June 7, 1935, in Webster County, Missouri, and departed this life September 2, 2024, at his residence in Fordland, Missouri. He was 89 years, 2 months, and 26 days of age.

Kenneth was born and raised in Webster County. He was united in marriage to Emma Phillips on June 4, 1963. Kenneth served his country and retired from the United States Air Force, where he worked in the avionics field.  After Kenneth retired from the military, he and Emma moved to Fordland, Missouri. He worked for the Fordland School system in different capacities, but he truly enjoyed driving the school bus. Kenneth was a Christian and a prominent member of his church for many years. His faith was important to him, as was his family whom he enjoyed spending time with. He was a caring friend and neighbor, and he will be missed by all that knew him.

Besides his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Emma; one brother, Bill Bowers, and one sister, Juanita Cornelson.

He is survived by two sons, Steven Bowers and his wife, Deborah, and Michael Hunt and his wife, Maria; one daughter, Dana Bezdek; three brothers, David Bowers, Eddie Bowers and his wife, Diane, and Alfred Bowers and his wife, Lenore; two sisters, Carol Duncan and Evelyn Young; nine grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
