Lisa Renee Taber, 57 years, 11 months, 13 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on August 20, 2021 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare in Ava with her family by her side.
Lisa was born September 7, 1963 at Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, New Mexico to Wayne and Donna (Mekelburg) Applequist.
Lisa graduated from Ava High School in 1981 and later received her B.S. Degree from Drury University and almost got her masters from MSU. She was a Christian and was baptized at the Ava Assembly of God Church by Pastor Buddy. Before her accident when she was a Junior at Ava High, she was active as a cheerleader, the swim team, volleyball, and basketball. After her accident she maintained her joy for swimming and riding horses. Her spirit was unrelenting. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She adored her family and her friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne.
Lisa is survived by her mother, Donna Applequist, her three children, Leann Baechle, Wayne Baechle, and Aaron Taber, one grandson, Asher Baechle, her sister and husband, Lori & Jim Allen, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services for Lisa will be Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO. A Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. to service time in the funeral home.
