Lois Newton, 91 years, and 30 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on August 15, 2024, at her home with family by her side.
Lois was born July 16, 1933 in Douglas County, Missouri to Simon S.“Vanice”and Bertha (Tetrick) Parsons.
Lois lived most of her life in Douglas County.
On July 16, 1988, Lois married Billie Newton at Black Jack Church.
She worked at Baxter Laboratories in Mtn. Home, Arkansas for several years. She also worked at the nursing home in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. In addition, she milked cows and also took care of hogs on the farm. She enjoyed going to yard sales, singing, and going to church. Lois attended Black Jack Church for several years.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billie in 1994; her siblings, Lola Driskell, Logan Parsons, and Lowell Parsons.
Lois is survived by her niece and husband, Dorothy and Robert Grisham; other nieces, nephews,great nieces and nephews,cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Lois will be Monday, August 19, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri with burial following in the Blanche Cemetery. A visitation will be prior to the service on Monday from 10:30 A.M. to service time. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Walton. Memorials may be made to Blanche Cemetery.
