Susan (Marie) Hornback Alvarenga was born October 29,1962 in Monroe, NC and passed away on November 7, 2022 at Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, MO at the age of 60. Marie was united in marriage on October 28, 2007 to Trancito (Jesse) Alvarenga in Charlotte, NC.
Marie is survived by her husband Jesse of the their home and his children Adon Alvarenga, Jesus Alvarenga, Marisa Castillo and her family. Her parents Billy G and Frances Hornback. Two brothers, Billy Hornback Jr. children Kyle and Casey; Todd and Jacqui Hornback, daughters Savannah, boyfriend Colter Bean and Cheyenne; Ronnie and Catherine Medlin children Annabelle, Lane and Wyatt all of Alton, MO. Marie was proceeded in death by her paternal grandparents William and Maddie Hornback and maternal grandparents George and Annie Newton.
Marie loved everyone and never met a stranger. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She always asked about others and put others above herself. She was a remarkable wife, daughter, aunt and loving friend. She loved to sing, reading the scripture, all her dogs and animals, the sandy beaches and a good adventure. God blessed her with an amazing voice. Many people came to accept the Lord under the influence of her beautiful singing. Marie dearly loved her husband Jesse, being a Aunt and her family. She loved Jesus. She was saved as a little girl August 15, 1971 at Bible school and never missed a chance throughout her life to share Jesus and what He had done for her.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday November 10, 2022 at Bailey Freewill Baptist Church located in Alton, MO with Bro. Bob Wiggs and Brother Darrell Strain officiating. Visitation Thursday evening 5-7 pm at Clary Funeral Home.
