Mark Randall Sandlin, 61, of Gainesville, MO passed away September 1, 2022 at his residence. He was born July 29, 1961 in Lexington, Kentucky to Larkin and Bessie (Castle) Sandlin.
Mark was a loving and caring husband and father. He grew up in Kentucky before moving to Buffalo, NY where he met his wife, Heike (Hechler). The couple started a family there and raised their two sons. After his wife passed away in December of 2004, he moved his family to the Ozarks. He loved being in the country, reminiscing about the good times he had growing up while living with his grandmother in rural Kentucky. Mark loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and camping with his family.
He was a born-again Christian and led his wife and children to the Lord. He loved Jesus and was a kind and generous man who would help anyone in anyway he could. He loved gardening, he had a good sense of humor and loved spending time with his family. He loved to read, even as a child and would even read the Thesaurus. His favorite book and the one he read the most was the King James Bible. He always reminded his children to pray and read the bible.
He is survived by one son Josh Sandlin of Gainesville, MO; three grandchildren Aylah Sandlin, Silas Sandlin, and Abigail Sandlin; two sisters Robin Cooper and husband Donald of Lexington, KY, Carla Bablitz of Winchester, KY.
