Nancy Jane Reed, 54, of Mountain View, Missouri departed this life on November 27, 2019 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. She was born June 6, 1965 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma the daughter of Dewey and Patricia (Gardner) Burris.
Nancy attended Liberty High School, and after moving to Canton, Kansas, graduated from Canton Galva High School in 1983 and later went on to receive an Associate Degree. She was united in marriage to David Reed on July 13, 1991 in West Plains, Missouri and to this union a son was born, David Ralph Reed, Jr.
Her mother and husband precede her in death.
Those left to mourn are her father and stepmother, Dewey and Betsy Burris, of Lakeway, TX; son, David Reed, Jr. of Mountain View; sister, Lorrie Lewis and husband, Greg, of Galva, KS; and nephew, Ian Lewis of Lawrence, KS.
Nancy enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, and bowling. She loved to go camping at the river with friends.
Nancy loved her son dearly. She had a silly and sweet personality that everyone loved. She did not have her own grandchildren, but had a many “grand” children.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Mountain View, Missouri under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
