Ruth Anna Cowen, 63, took her final breath on November 19, 2019, surrounded by those who love her in Eminence, Missouri. She was born on February 5, 1956, in Lexington, Missouri to Chesley and Beulah (Mooney) Cowen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Chesley and Beulah; brother, Jerry Martin, Harold E. Cowen, Billy Ray Cowen and Rodney Cowen; daughter, Rebecca Shannon.
She is survived by the love of her life, Kenneth Iler; two daughters, Samantha Herbst and Jessica Vermillion; one son, Jeffrey Cowen; sister, Patricia Camden; and many grandchildren.
Ruth was an amazing woman who enjoyed all things of nature, she loved being on the river bank or in the woods. She enjoyed curling up with a good book, gaming with her grandbabies and taking adventures with her girls. She had a sense of humor like no other and her laugh could be heard throughout the room. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. “Wherever the ocean meets the sky, there will be memories of you and I. When I look up at the sky so blue, all I see are visions of you. While there’s a heart in me, you’ll be a part of me.”
