Funeral Services for Nora Ellen Sales, Age 90 of Fordland, Missouri will be held on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026 at The Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Missouri, beginning at 2:00 PM. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 12-Noon. Burial will take place in The Mt. Zion Cemetery, Ava, Missouri

Nora Ellen Sales, age 90 years, 8 months, and 7 days old, passed away on, August 14, 2026, in Seymour, Missouri, with her loving family by her side.

Nora was born December 7, 1935, in Centerville, Iowa to Spencer and Ocie (Faris) McKeehan. On June 6, 1954, Nora Ellen McKeehan and Jonverl M. Sales were united in marriage in Moulton, Iowa. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love and they were blessed with five children.

A devoted Christian, Nora was a dedicated member of the Fordland Church of God Holiness. Throughout her years of faithful service, she taught Sunday School and lovingly used her talents as a church decorator. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she found great joy in serving the Lord and her church family.

Nora was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. From helping on the family farm to building a successful career outside the home, she worked diligently throughout her life. She spent many years serving as an insurance agent before retiring.

More than anything, Nora treasured time spent with her family. She had a deep appreciation for flowers and was an accomplished artist whose creativity brought beauty to the lives of those around her. Known for her playful spirit and quick sense of humor, she never missed an opportunity to pull a good-hearted prank and bring laughter to family and friends.

Nora was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jonverl M. Sales; four brothers, Robert, Earl, Audrey, and Spencer; two sisters, Violet Douglas and Marjorie Lepper; great-granddaughter-in-law, Kristene Hull and great-granddaughter, Kristosha Hull.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Vicky and Kenny Thompson, Juley Voss, Jonverl and Tammy Sales, Genverl and Susan Sales, and Tim Sales.

She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren: Barton (Julie), Clint, Matt (Stephanie), Joshua (Deana), Amanda (Boston), Scott (Kristy), Britney (Brad), Jonathan (Madison), Ethan (Lianna), Chelsea (Jose), Eli, Timmy (Melissa), Tyler, Brianna, and Haley (Stephen); 27 great-grandchildren, with two more expected; 11 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Nora will be remembered for her unwavering faith, loving heart, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. Her legacy of love, devotion, and faith will continue through the generations of family she cherished so deeply.
