She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Sarah Norris of Winona, MO; sister, Oma Norris of Winona, MO; brothers, Raymond (Red) Norris of Fremont, MO, Orville (Cob) Norris, and Harmon (Jake) Norris both of Winona, MO.

Opal was loved by all who knew her. She worked hard throughout her life, working several years at Paramount Cap Factory in Winona, Missouri. She also provided childcare for dozens of children in her later years. Each child that she cared for, was loved like it was her very own, and she is still loved by those children today.

Her family was her life and she loved having company. She always had something cooked that was excellent and company never left her house without a piece of some delicious pie or cake she had made. She always had such a pretty, well-kept home, and loved her flowers. They were always so beautiful. When she became sick, she wanted so badly to be able to take care of her flowers until the end. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart and soul, along with the rest of her family.
