Ray Bob Cochran

Ray Bob Cochran, 73, of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Thayer, Missouri. Ray Bob was born January 12, 1952, to James Harold and Bircha Mae (Dawson) Cochran in Batesville, Arkansas.

Ray Bob was united in marriage to Shana Lannae Lawrence on January 15, 1987. Ray Bob spent his working years as a pharmacist (owner/operator) at Palace Drug Store in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. Ray Bob loved his family dearly and enjoyed every minute spent with them. He enjoyed many activities but quail hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, history, traveling, and side by side riding on the farm were his favorites. He was an avid Arkansas Razorback and St Louis Cardinals fan. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and was a member of the Welcome Hill Church at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.

Ray Bob leaves behind; three sons, Dr. Chris Cochran and wife Niki of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Kib Cochran and wife Sarah of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and Kyle Williams of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; daughter, Lynn Maguffee and husband Marvin of Salem, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Grace Cochran, Mary Cochran, Evelyn Williams, and Hank Cochran; brother, Mickey Cochran and wife Peggy of Salem, Arkansas; sister, Barbara Poulson of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife (Shana Cochran), parents (Harold and Bircha Cochran), three brothers (Don, Gene, and Wes), and nephew (James Mark Cochran).

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Moten Cemetery in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas with Bro. Erman Croney officiating. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Charity of Choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas
