He was born April 4, 1942, at Kilauea, Hawaii, to Joseph Stanley Silva and Mary Rapozo Silva.  Mr. Silva was a veteran, having served his country with the United States Air Force.  Before his retirement, he worked at Howell-Oregon Electric Coop.  On May 12, 2006, he was married at Eureka Springs, Arkansas, to Debra Hyder.  Reg loved God and family; he considered his Howell-Oregon Electric co-workers, West Plains Senior Center Pool Hall and his marble collecting community as family. He was born and raised in Hawaii, where he was nicknamed “Pineapple”.  He enjoyed collecting marbles since he was a young boy, earning the second nickname “Marble Hunter”.  Reg also enjoyed spear fishing, scuba diving and boxing.  If he wasn’t riding his Harley, he was either hunting, fishing or shooting pool.  He was a member of His Place House of Worship and led His Way Ministry with his wife for many years and also served on the security team.

He is survived by his wife, Debby Silva, of the family home; five children, Terry Hackworth and husband, Steve, West Plains, Kim Knapp and husband, Todd, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Blue Seeley and husband, Brad, Desiree Theibeault and husband, Skyler and Amber Kirkpatrick, all of West Plains; thirteen grandchildren, Steven and McKenzie, Misti and Kenneth, Sara, Isaac and Jamie Jo, Taylor and Sierra, Karma, Amara, Jedidiah and Natalie; ten great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Cole, Izias, Merryck, Adaleah, Caedmon, Kairros, Lexi, Nolan and Teller; one brother, Stanley Mervin Silva, West Plains; one sister, Kathleen Koerte and husband, Dickie, Kauai, Hawaii; one sister-in-law, Becky Stiles, Ozark, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
