Robert “Bob” Dwain Nash

Robert “Bob” Dwain Nash, age 90, passed away on October 19, 2023, at his son’s home in Eminence, Missouri. He was born on April 1, 1933, in Eminence to Harley and Marie (Atkins) Nash. Bob married Mary Lou Johnson on November 26, 1952, and to this union, one son was born.

Bob started working when he was 13 years old at a sawmill. In his early 20s, he decided to become a cattle farmer and was very prosperous. He received the Farmer of the Year award in 1977. Bob later became a member of Howell-Oregon Coop in 1982 until 2009. He was a faithful member of Assembly Church of God Church and served as a Deacon for many years. Bob enjoyed taking care of his farm and traveling with Mary.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mary Nash, and his parents, Harley and Marie Nash.

Survivors include his son, Robert Dean Nash of Eminence, MO; one granddaughter, Brooke Shumate and husband, Seth of Eminence; one grandson, Brandon Nash of Springfield, MO; two great-grandchildren, Jett and Neriah; three brothers, Paul Nash of Eminence, Bill Nash of Carthage, MO, and Dean Nash of Eminence; and one sister, Joy Cooley of Eminence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Yarber Mortuary, Eminence, Missouri, with Darrell Jones officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Munsell Cemetery, Eminence. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
