Rosa Lea Barcus, 85 years, 7 months, and 26 days old, passed away on April 8, 2024 at Cox Medical Center, Springfield, Missouri with her family by her side.
Rosa was born August 12, 1938, in Douglas County, Missouri to Henry Huffman and Velma Rubles. After her parents passed, Carl and Stella Joslin raised her.
On July 16, 1957, Rosa Lea Huffman and Glenn Dale Barcus were united in marriage in Ava, Missouri. They were blessed with three children, Dwayne, Glenda, and Brenda.
She enjoyed cooking and gardening when she was able. She liked going to see The Oak Ridge Boys in concert. Rosa loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Rosa was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; daughter, Brenda (Barcus) Ingram; two sisters, Betty and Bonnie; brother, Charles and foster brother, Harold.
Rosa is survived by two children, Dwayne Barcus, and Glenda Little and husband Alan; three grandchildren, Nathan and wife Ali, Evan, and Logan and wife Zoey; four great-grandchildren, Jimmie, Xavier, Forrest and Lincoln; special friends, Jerry and Tammy Caudill; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Rosa will be Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 AM to service time. Burial will be in the Ava cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor James Hathcock. Memorials may be made to Gideons International.
