Rosemary Keeling

Rosemary (Smith) Keeling, the daughter of Raymond Lester and Emma Louise (Basham) Smith, was born October 20, 1944 in Bend, Oregon.  She passed away at Mountain View Healthcare on June 7, 2023 making her age 78 years, 7 months and 18 days.

Her parents moved to Ink, Missouri when she was a small girl.  She met her husband JR (Jerald Roger) Keeling and was united in marriage on April 23, 1960.  They were blessed with 5 children, Jerald Keeling, Adina Denton, James Keeling, Jeff Keeling and Therisa Whirrell.  Rosemary and JR raised the children up at Ink on Spring Valley.

Rosemary worked as a CNA and caregiver for many years, she was always helping others.  She attended church at Church of God of Prophecy until she couldn’t due to health.

Preceding her in death were her father, Raymond Smith; mother, Louise Smith; husband, JR Keeling; infant son, James Keeling daughter, Therisa Whirrell; 3 brothers, William Smith, Wendell Smith and Clifton Smith; father-in-law, Roger Keeling; mother-in-law, Bessie Keeling; brother-in-law, Gary Keeling; 2 sisters-in-law, Kathryn Smith and Imogene Blake; 2 grandsons, James Whirrell and James Baker; granddaughter, Jacklyn Whirrell and great grandson, Joshua Keeling.

She leaves to mourn, her children, Jerald and wife Sherri Keeling, Adina and husband Dennis Denton, and Jeff and wife Lori Keeling; sister, Vesta and husband Richard Mostella; sisters-in-law, Glenna Smith, Marlene and husband Jr. Brawley, Robin and husband Reese Porter, Kathy Keeling and Lois Smith; brothers-in-law, Gene Blake and Kenny and wife Tammy Keeling; grandchildren, Cindy (Jeremy) Robertson; Johnathon Keeling; Amanda (Craig) Pyrlik, Jason (Kylee) Keeling, Kayla Babe, Jessica Toy, Joey (Cherri) Keeling, Tony (Nikki) Whirrell and Dakohta Whirrell; she is also survived by a host of 21 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  Rosemary was the most forgiving woman and oh how she had agape love for her family and had empathy for anyone going through anything.
