Royce Gregory Wilson, 78 years, and 17 days old, passed away on June 20, 2023 at his home in Douglas County, Missouri.
Royce was born June 3, 1945 in Douglas County, Missouri to Lawrence and Dorothy (Maybe) Wilson.
He loved being raised in the country. He was a United States Army veteran and served three tours in Vietnam from 1963 to 1968.
In Kansas he owned and operated a Telephone Pole Construction Co. for a few years. Most of his work was being a Truck Driver and was a member of the Teamsters Local #41. He retired in 2004.
Royce (Greg) loved his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed when they would come to visit him. He enjoyed farming and especially riding his Ford tractors! In his later years he enjoyed going out for coffee to socialize.
Royce was preceded in death by his parents, his four brothers, Larry, Boyd, Lloyd and Floyd Wilson and his daughter, Clarissa.
He is survived by his five children; Alice Anderson, Amanda Wilson, Royce Gregory Wilson, Jr. and wife, Marcy, James Dean Wilson and Wesley Blake Wilson; three grandchildren, J.T. Harrell, Malaina Wilson and Royce Gregory Wilson, III; one sister, Joanie Hilton; his nephews that he cared for, Larry Mitchell and Jonathan Mitchell; extended relatives and friends.
Memorial services for Royce (Greg) will be Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with military honors at the funeral home by the Troy Herd American Post 112 and the U.S. Army detail.
