Ruby “Madge” Kennemer

Ruby “Madge” (Brown) Kennemer, age 95, went to her heavenly home on March 21, 2022, in Seymour, Missouri, with her family at her bedside. She was born on December 2, 1926, to Albert Clay and Neva (Yocham) Brown in Pontiac, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W. Eli Kennemer; her daughter Teena Booth and son Bobby Booth; her brothers Claude Brown, Walter Ray Brown; sisters Georgia Beason, Eileen Holt, Mary Ruth Richey, Wilma Cooper, Joyce Beam and Charlotte Bison.

Madge loved working with people and was well know and loved by the community. Madge and Eli established a local real estate business in the early 1960’s which later became Kennemer Realty. It was the oldest Realty in Webster County, Missouri. She remained active in local real estate for over 50 years.

Madge was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seymour. She was a long-standing member of The Order of the Eastern Star.

Madge is survived by her two sons, James O. Booth and wife Mary of Blue Springs, and David Booth of Seymour, two daughters, Mary Bedford and husband Larry of Willard, and Carol Replogle and husband Tom of Marshfield, sister-in-law Vonna Werle of Seymour, all of Missouri, her brother Carl Brown and wife Nancy of Lead Hill, Arkansas, and her dear friend and “so called” adopted daughter Rosie Verge Merrill. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many, many dear friends.
