Vineta McKinley

Vineta (Halliburton) McKinley, daughter of the late Stanton and Una (Black) Halliburton, was born October 15, 1934, in Bendavis, Missouri, and departed this life March 21, 2022, in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 87 years, 5 months, and 6 days of age.

Vineta attended school in Mountain Grove and graduated with the Mountain Grove High School class of 1952. Following school, she worked at various places but was most well known for her time working at Tri-County Gas. She was good at the book keeping and personal relations, knowing all the names of her customers and where the drivers were to deliver the propane.

Vineta was a kind and fun spirited woman who never met a stranger. She loved visiting with whomever she crossed paths with in life. She looked forward to going to lunch or dinner at McDonald’s and would usually order a Happy Meal.

Vineta was saved and baptized at an early age and faithfully attended the South Street Church of God in Mountain Grove as long as health permitted.

Besides her parents, Vineta was preceded in death by three husbands, Albert McGowen, Vernes Coday, and Leland McKinley, and one brother, Donald Keith Halliburton.

Vineta is survived by one sister-in-law, Annabelle Halliburton, four step-children, David McKinley and wife, Sherry, Danny McKinley and wife, Debbie, Lila Ashlock and husband, Greg, and Jane Carder and husband, Gene, eight step-grandchildren, Sarah Carder, Doug Coday, Debra Moore, Titus McKinley, Crystal Marks, Tyler McKinley, Hannah Jones, and Cassie Miller, two nieces, Kelly Brydel and Terri Mills, one nephew, Brian Halliburton, three great-nieces, Melanie Brydel, Taylor Halliburton, and Gabrielle Mills, one great-nephew, Andrew Halliburton, many cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
