Funeral Services for Samuel Dale Lakey, Age 46 of Willow Springs, Missouri will be held on Thursday, August 13th, 2026 at The Yarber Mortuary Chapel, Willow Springs, Missouri, beginning at 3:00 PM. Visitation will precede the service, beginning two hours prior at 1:00 PM. Private burial will take place in The Bradford Cemetery,
Samuel Dale Lakey, age 46, of Willow Springs, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2026, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on March 24, 1980, in St. Louis, Missouri, the beloved son of Shelly Daugherty and Jack Lakey.
Dale was a devoted husband, father, brother, friend, and son, and will be remembered for his iconic one-liners, his strength, and his great love for Jesus. He enjoyed St. Louis Cardinal baseball, golf, and bowling, but his happiest moments were spent with his wife and three daughters.
He is survived by the great love of his life, Elizabeth Lakey; his children, Mallory Wagner and husband, Christopher, Sophia Lakey, and Grace Lakey; his grandmother, Dorothy Pyles; his mom and dad, Rick and Shelly Daugherty; his siblings, Serena Lakey, Caitlin Campbell, Mindy McMeans, and Kenny Daugherty.
Dale was preceded in death by his grandfather, Loren Pyles, whom he adored, and his uncle, Rev. Keith Pyles.
Those who knew Dale will remember him for his love, wisdom, and laughter. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
