Sarah Louaida White

Sarah Louaida Burrows White, 80 of Springtown, Texas, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023 in Bucyrus, Missouri with her family by her side.

Louaida was born November 25, 1942 in Crowell, Texas to Orville and Ruby (Riley) Burrows.

She married Jimmy White on April 27, 1962 in Borger, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Dennis White; brothers, Richard and David; and two infant brothers.

Louaida is survived by her children, Kevin (Deanna) White of Florissant, CO: Antler White of Springtown, TX; Colene (Don) Dodd of Quinlan, TX; and Katie (Shane) McNeely of Bucyrus, MO; grandchildren, Daniel, Savannah (Sonny), Deanna (Adam), Keeleigh, Jessica, Macie, Nicholas, Bryce, and Joey; great-grandchildren, Cadence, Melody, William, Jackson, Cason, Morgan, and Makenna; sisters, Darlene Jones of Lewisville, TX; sister-in-law, Sue James Duvall of Woodsboro, TX; sister-in-law, Lois “Susie” Purcell of Fort Worth, TX; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and a lifetimes worth of special friends.

Louaida had many hobbies throughout her life. She enjoyed painting and she would read almost anything but did not care for fiction. She was a writer. She wrote many poems, and her letters could qualify as books. She enjoyed bowling twice a week at Cowtown Bowling Alley for the last few years of her life. She also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing was her favorite. If she decided she wanted to do or learn something, she’d make her mind up and then do it.

Louaida was a member of the First Baptist Church in Springtown, TX for 33 years where she volunteered in the children’s department for a number of years and later helped with Wednesday night meals.

Louaida’s family was her pride and joy. She spent many hours making phone calls to check in with them, then she would start down her long list of friends.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Springtown, Texas, 500 N. Main St.
