Sheila Stillwell of Mountain Grove, MO, daughter of the late Clarence and Lula Davis of Warrenton, MO, was born August 22, 1959, in Troy, MO, and she departed from this earthly life August 3, 2022, in Lee’s Summit, MO. She was 62 years, 11 months, and 3 days of age. Sheila grew up in Warrenton, MO, where she met the love of her life, Ted Stillwell. Sheila and Ted were united in marriage May 24, 1975. Three angel babies and two children were born in this union, Jessica and Amanda. Sheila and the family made a decision to move to southern Missouri in 2015, and she loved the beauty and peace of Mountain Grove. Sheila was a proud member of Mountain Grove Family Church where she spent her time serving others and the community.
She had a servant’s heart and a mindset and desire to selflessly and sacrificially serve others, regardless of her feelings toward them. Sheila’s hobbies included crocheting, attending dog club meetings, and going trout fishing in Mammoth Spring, AR. She loved getting to babysit Brooklyn and Kaydence, and spending time with Skylar. She always looked forward to talking to her sister, Lois, on a nightly basis. She also loved Christmas, and it was her absolute favorite time of year. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, including her church family. Sheila loved serving the Lord, and she enjoyed listening to praise and worship music.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, three angel babies, brothers-in-law, Kim Stillwell, Ken Christian, and Billy Pierce.
Sheila is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ted Stillwell, two daughters Jessica Long and her husband, Johnathon, of Mountain Grove, MO, Amanda Mullins and her husband, Jermey, of Mountain Grove, MO, grand-pets, Nolan, Champ, Kiaira, Dolly, Zoey, Milo, Dutt, Raven, and Lucky, three step-granddaughters, and many adopted grand-babies, one sister, Lois Herndon and her husband, Paul, of Warrenton, MO, one brother, James Davis and his wife, Jana, of Warrenton, MO, three sisters-in-law, Ann Christian, Susan Carson, and Elisa Spalding and her husband, Jason, one brother-in-law, Jebb King, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great-nephews who will miss her.
Sheila loved big and touched so many people. She will be greatly missed by many. May she rest in peace and live forever in our hearts. Until we meet again. We love you always and forever momma.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 4:00 PM at Mountain Grove Family Church, with Terry Ramming officiating. There will be praise and worship time to celebrate the music that Sheila loved. There will also be a fellowship meal to follow the service, and everyone is invited to stay.
