Stephen William Babb

Steve Babb was born to Richard Babb and Greta (Pelkey) Babb on March 5, 1954. He lived most of his childhood in Maine before moving to San Antonio, Texas.

Steve graduated from John Jay High School before joining the army, where he served as an Intelligence Analyst. Following his service in the army, he married Laurel Staffel on July 9, 1977, in San Antonio, Texas, and to this union, one son was born, Stephen Schaeffer Babb. Steve earned a BA, followed by a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Texas in San Antonio.

He worked in the development of numerous non-profit organizations, which included the Alamo Community College District in San Antonio. Steve was an ordained Southern Baptist minister and founder of the Christian Pro-Life Foundation in San Antonio. The organization provided services to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of clients experiencing unplanned pregnancies.

Steve was a gifted writer, teacher, and student of God’s word. He loved seeking truth and is now at peace in the presence of Truth, Himself-Jesus Christ.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard Babb and Greta Welden.

Survivors include his wife, Laurel Babb; step-mother, Margaret Babb; his son, Stephen Babb; and numerous brothers and sisters.
