Susan Jeanette Johnson, 74 years, 11 months, 8 days old, passed away on November 23, 2021 at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, MO with her family by her side.
Jeanette was born December 15, 1946 in Gainesville, Missouri to Arnold Edward and Geraldine ( McDaniel) Lawson. She grew up in the Thornfield and Gainesville communities and graduated from Gainesville High School.
On April 22, 1964 Jeanette and Raymond Johnson were united in marriage by Rev. Tom Johnson at Smallett. To this union three sons were born, Randy, Rod, and Reggie.
Jeanette was retired from working at Hagales and Emerson Electric in Ava. She also worked on the farm with Raymond. She was a Christian and of the General Baptist faith. Jeanette’s joy was being at home with all her family especially her grand and great grandkids!
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; brothers, Bob Lawson and Dennis Lawson, and sister and brother in law, Audean Watson and Darell.
She is survived by her three sons and their spouses, Randy and Becky Johnson, Rod and Dee Johnson, Reggie and Vanessa Johnson; grandchildren, Jennifer Edwards and husband, John, Hannah Fisher and husband, Jody, and Brandon Johnson; great grandchildren, Hailey, Emitt, and Lane, many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.
Graveside services for Jeanette will be Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Thornfield Cemetery, Thornfield, MO.
Officiating will be will be Rev. Oren Alcorn. Family requests memorials to Thornfield Cemetery or Donor’s Choice. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
