Ted Laney, 87 years, 6 months, and 22 days old, passed away on October 25, 2022 at the Kabul Nursing Home in Cabool, MO.
Ted was born April 3, 1935 in Luna, New Mexico to Frank and Erma (Bloomfield) Laney.
Ted served his country in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959, serving most of his time in Korea.
On December 15, 1971,Ted and Birka were united in marriage at Mesa, AZ and were blessed with two children, Erik and Holly.
Ted was a farmer and mostly worked with beef cattle. His hobbies in life were cattle, ranching, and logging which he enjoyed until he had to move into the nursing home.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Mtn. Grove, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Birka in 1999.
Ted is survived by his two children, Erik Laney and Holly Meadows; six grandchildren, Mackenzie Moreno, Macey Thorup, Stellena, Justyn Davis, Natasha Haynie, and Gary Don Meadows; great-grandchildren; siblings, Verna Lund and Leo Laney; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Ted will be Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
Burial will be in the Strunk Cemetery, Norwood, Missouri. Officiating will be Kurt Sundquist . Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Missouri.
